OT: Nice combo at Volkel AB

Warrant

Videre Vincere Est
Today a spontanious and unique flight combination was displayed @ the RNLAF Open Days:

A Hawker hunter (flown by an acquaintance of mine, former F-16 demo pilot Patrick Tuit) , an AVRO Vulcan (last one still flying) and the RNLAF F-16AM (demo aircraft, flown by another acquaintance of mine; Ralph Aarts) in close formation. :jawdrop:

The decision to combine the 3 aircraft types in a single display was made during the party the evening before (so, very short notice), where the demo crews met each other. It evolved in a extremely rare and magnificent show! :medals::medals::medals:

I'll post a few HQ photos in the newshawks later; just got home and I'm in the process of uploading 1,100 photos to my computer (In addition to the 1,067 from yesterday.. :isadizzy: )

How was the weather? in the north (EHLW) it was "wisselvallig". Looks to have been a great event.

Kind regards,

Meso

Wow, great photo's, Ferry :medals::medals::medals:

Too bad i was occupied with my job, so i was only able to take a few shots with a simple quickshot camera from time to time.

Hope you enjoyed oth days at "my" airbase.:wavey:

On base everything was fine, it was the parking that ruined it once again. I was stuck for over two hours on a grass field on Friday and because of that I missed a concert of a friend's band in Tilburg. Took me nearly four hours to get home (About 70 kilometers).
Things went a bit smoother today, but this time we stayed on the base for about an hour after the show.

Can I park in your front yard next time..? ;)
