OT: Opinions please...

I am considering getting Enemy Engaged 2, the helicopter sim. I played the first one way back when and liked it, but as money is tight for me, I'd hate to throw away the 30 dollars on something I don't really enjoy. Have any of you played EE2?... and if so, is it worth the 30 bucks? Any thoughts welcome.
Thanks

Apache vs Havock was absolutely stunning back in the day..dunno about EE2 but if they kept the same spirit, i´sure you wont be dissapointed

From what i remember it is a nest of bug... collisions on invisible trees, crashes to desktop, helicopter that "slide" on the ground if you disengage parking brakes even with the engine off... And the software might not even start if you use Vista... My advice if you still need it: STAY AWAY from "that"!

I tried it. I couldn't even get the sim to recognize my controllers. Do not bother with it, in my opinion.

'Played' it, liked it for a while... but I like DCS Black Shark a LOT better (in spite of some early problems I seem to have).

Is it wrong of me to wish I could have Microprose Gunship or Gunship II back?

I haven't bothered even looking at EECH or Black Shark having been so let down by helo sims. I want M1 Tank Platoon, Gunship and DI Tornado back. :typing:

Oh Man ! an updated M1 Tank Platoon would be top of my wish list. Bring back Janes Longbow II while you are at it.

Enemy Engaged 2 refused to run on both my Vista and XP set ups.

Thanks for the input, folks

Glad I asked! These are all revelations to me! That Black Shark looks beautiful. I think I'll save up the difference and get that. Since my wife is russian, I can print out an image of the dash and ask her to translate the bits I can't figure out.

While I knew the original EECH has been modded, I had no idea to what extent! Since the original, I have wanted a HIND 2 and that youtube vid looks like it fits the bill. I am sure I have my old EECH disks somewhere...

C'yas, and thanks...
gotta go dig in the attic...
