Looks fun. I bought that game on Amazon for 10 buckeroos about a year ago. I even bought an extra plane and field mod. No matter how hard I tried I couldn't get into that sim... I think the worst part was the aerial combat. I couldn't get my guns on target. And It took many shots to simply kill a balloon; where I'd seen you tube videos where planes would only do one pass and destroy one. It'd take me 10 passes... Obviously classic case of PEBKAC but I became frustrated.

It really looks tempting now though hehe... just to fly near the water!
 
Me too, I installed it a few months ago but couldn't get used to the views, only have the default planes, but could see bugger all because of the wing. Maybe I've just got used to MS view setup. Shame really because graphically, it's amazing
 
You have such nice screen shots I'm currently reinstalling lol...

Will try to get the weapon mod with two guns maybe that will help.

I do have TIR 5 so the views were never an issue... (it helps A TON to have some sort of face tracking camera)
 
So I spent all day (literally... my wife is upset :)) getting this thing installed and working. First hurdle was to setup the video card correctly (nightmare to find the forum posts and proper settings). Then I tried buying some stuff at the store and my CC was declined (yay!) But I get invoices somehow and it looks like I was charged three times for the same thing... so I'm not really sure if the purchase went through on their end or not (not on my end - I don't have the mods I bought in-game). Anyway some helpful fellow at their forums provided me with good video card settings and I got track IR working again using the "Requim 6DOF" profile.

Finally I was flying but I quickly learned how terrible I am and why I quit flying. I constantly spin these planes and a lot of them have different recovery procedures. (sometimes far opposite of light general aviation planes). So I'll have to relearn those yay! Still in aerial combat against novice AI I'm getting beaten easily by the computer! But if I turn too hard I spin and die lol. I have adjusted my response to a curve as opposed to linear default settings, which helped a little.

Are there any training maps or training missions? I could really use some...

I need a LOT of work with this game uuughhh.
