Thanks Dave...yeh, this guy and I were born in the same hospital 2 days apart and have been buddies since the 2nd grade. He's a great guy, an actual Kung Fu Grandmaster, has worked a lot training law enforcement, etc, and really is the last guy I would've thought would be cut down by liver disease. When we were in our late teens he got himself in quite a bit of serious trouble with the law and turned his life around in San Quentin Prison. I must say it's a blessing that I ,too, didn't go that route as we were both a couple of hellraisers when younger. When we were kids in elementary school when we were appointed as hall monitors we would charge the little kids to go to the bathroom and as crossing guards in the 5th grade we would do the same thing...charge kids to cross the street...larcenous acts, to be sure.
Anyway, I hope he hangs in for awhile longer as the weather is just too bad right at the moment to leave. I changed my mind about the train and decided to drive...no way am i gonna fly in this stuff, even on a commercial flight. The weathers clearing up this eve so I will leave about 3 o4 4 am tomorrow. mid
