Mind you I think the Spitfire is over rated....
i like the spitfire and i'm Greek bornbut my favourite mark is the mk.V/Trop (thats the one with the beautiful nose) especially when given the blue-white-blue roundels of the RHAF/HAF

Very nice edit! If you're calling one plane a saviour, shouldn't it be a Hurricane, then?![]()
Hi guys I'm not at home at the moment, so I can't get the data ready, but I will start a thread soon about how to Port-it over....
...but don't joke about the Spitfire.![]()
I don't think any Me109 pilot would ever think the Spitfire was a joke, not for long anyway. :ernae:
As for Hurricane or Spitfire, it was always a team effort, the best combination came from the more rugged and numerous Hurricanes making the bombers life a misery, while the Spitfires dealt the Me109 escorts
Great edit Rowdy![]()

Yes, it is.
Or as one British pilot has put it "the sky wasn't enough to roll the Spitfire" or the other "turning doesn't win battles".
Nice edit nonetheless.
