Overdue Christmas Gift Photos...

I just haven't had time to take some pics of what I got for Christmas... I had bought three old jackets on eBay over the las year, and had them painted up... Wanted to show everybody, then I thought while I was at it... thought I would share my mini obsession with military style jackets... it's quite unhealthy really... but I guess I could have worse addictions right?

enjoy..

the non-painted A-2 is my pride & joy that I have posted about before...it's my horsehide dark seal brown Avirex A-2... it's amazing... lol, the rest I have all bought on eBay, each costing at or less than $20, less shipping....

Nice collection you have there...hard to believe you can pick them up for 20 bucks....

:woot:

I have two leather jackets that I purchased at local thrift stores that I plan on painting up with some nose art. One is a Liz Claiborn lambskin jacket that I bought for $6.....such a super deal on that one. The other one is super heavy and has a definite WW 1 look to it.....I am thinking about doing it up as a German fighter jacket with some really neat WW 1 style images.

My best friend during junior high had his grand fathers bomber jacket from WW2. His gramps was a gunner on a B-24 over Europe....the jacket has a number of holes in it from being hit by small shards of frak shrapnel and a couple of bullet holes from German fighters...His gramps came home without a scratch...I guess he was luckier than most.
