Tried the slew method but still only get the door closing when I press Shift + E + 2.
Damn.
OK, instead of that other rigamarole that I mentioned earlier try this. I discovered that as soon as you are on the runway and you throttle up and roll out just a few feet and stop abruptly and
brake, press SHIFT+E2 and the ladder will pop out. Or, you don't even have to throttle up. Just let it roll forward a few feet then stop and try the SHIFT + E2. I think that if you were to take
off and land, it would also work. But for some, just pulling up the P3 and it is already in a dead stop the ladder won't work. Seems like there has to be some forward motion for the ladder
to operate correctly.

I have ladder trouble but I found that if I hit Shift+E+2 the ladder will work sometimes , but it depends on how soon you hit the 2 after the E.
A slight pause and I can get it to work almost every time, too long a longer pause and up pops the GPS instead which is mapped to Shift+2.
I might try changing the GPS to another Key just to see if that clears the problem.

I too have experienced the GPS popping up is that same situation.

I added Sensor Station 3 window. This is a small window on the starboard side of the aircraft just aft of the propstripe.

Had no luck with the key change for the GPS, so reverted back to as before, still hit and miss with the 2 key sometimes the stairs sometimes the GPS.
Will have to leave it to those with more knowledge than me, hope it can be sorted it spoils a brilliant model.

Wow, this is the longest running thread I ever posted at SOH and a very productive one at that! I can tell by how many folks who have posted here of the love we share for the old Orion whether some folks are enthusiasts or those who've worked on or with this great aircraft. I used to handle Navy P-3C's that came into our FBO ramp many years ago as well as NASA P-3B's from Goddard Space Flight Center’s Wallops Flight Facility. Always loved the imposing sight/sound/size of the P-3's on our ramp.
Anyhow, just wanted to say thanks to everyone who has kept this thread going sharing our enthusiasm for the Orion!

Just a idea for P-3 bases......wouldn't it be cool to have one of those fresh water rinse areas?

Chief, if a bird bath can be done then we need to make sure that there's an AN or boot 3rd ordie taped to a chair next to the taxiway getting drenched.
Grey Eagle, I'm guessing that the VP-65 textures are a no-go for the down load page? Was really hoping to have them installed in my Orion.
