P-38 Resource Inquiry

Bomber_12th

SOH-CM-2025
For the P-38 experts on this forum, or anyone which may have the resources, I am looking to find a clear photo illustrating the shape/outline of the rearview mirror frame, which had a clear fairing over the top of it. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

There is also this short type.

Thank you for the help, gentlemen. I was quite surprised at the lack of quality photos I was able to find on the internet, at least within an immediate search, but there are only a couple of restored Lightnings today which actually have the mirror installed. I believe I managed to work out a good outline of the mirror, and will set to work recreating it, having already made the fairing. It won't be destined for a P-38, but rather another aircraft which was retrofitted with the mirror and plexi-fairing.

LOL now you have us wondering Bomber. We are now going to go out and find out what you are working on with that piece of info. We are like that... us FSers.:icon_lol:

a little late with my reply, but here are a few shots of Tillamook's P-38L "Tangerine" rear view mirror.
