I sure am jankees.
I appreciate your labor of love on this big ol' brute.
The A2A cub, though very nice and tempting just was not for me and Alphasim's Albatross just could not win a yes vote from me.
I read your comments along with everyone else who posted on Warbirdsim's beautiful P-51 B,C, III series and they almost got me to bite... but did they offer everything that Scott offered with this P-47 + about $ 20.00 more stuff ?.... no!
On some of the Helldivers I flew in there was a message stating: "This aircraft cost the Taxpayers of the United States $12,780. Take good care of it" I wonder what it would be in today's dollars.
Ted, I'm really glad that you fly the P-47 During the war it got most of the attention, richly deserved. The P-51s were strictly Bomber Escorts. They only got attention after the war because of racing. But the Jugs were used everywhere and like the Helldivers, always made it back somehow.
I think they might have got attention because the top 3 scoring units of the European Theatre all flew P-51s, Helldiver. They weren't "just bomber escorts" according to any unit history I've read.
However, we have an Accu-Sim P-47 and not an Accu-Sim P51 yet, so I'll happily take this one - thanks Jan Kees!
(I already did the base for this one as well... Phew.)
a bit more progress..you may not see the difference, but it's there, and it looks better still I think.
I hope to upload later tonight or tomorrow if you can wait that long...
LOL! I am sure the Thunderbolts keep selling well because of all your hard work jankees!
Keep em coming!
I cannot promise that I will keep em in good shape... got FSX installed again now that I am jumping back in... first flight.... of course the P-47... and proceeded to catch the engine on fire... landed on a beach but bent the props.
Did just fine with the Cub and the A2A Stang update.
