Description: A rebuild of the rebuild of DIDIER Patrick (PAT_01) "Man O'War" P-51D CFS1 model. Now built back to a P-51B. Fully animated with breaking parts and damage texture logics. Model is Multi LOD with working virtual cockpit. Texture is a edits of the stock CFS3 P-51B textures.

Hit a Snag!

Great AC Allen. A wonderful addition to CFS2. Thought I'd pop it into my MTO and take it for a ride. Love the panels. All was well until I tried to add the rockets. For some reason, I get a MISSING THIS message. The item in question is the Wep_M10_Tri_Tubes_Mount_Ext. I know I loaded it in the Objects DB folder and the SceneDB folder. I looked for the adds and they were where they should be, but when I go to fly it CFS2 says I don't.

Before starting CFS2, try going into the SCENEDB/weapons/scenery folder and deleting the filelist.dat file. It will be recreated, when you start the sim, and should make the weapons available.

Thanks Shessi, good idea but it's still no go for me. I still get the "can't find in library" note. There were four objects in Allen's zip. None of the other three create a problem. Just the Wep_M10_Tri_Tubes_Mount_Ext. Go Figure.
 
*Facepalm* It is the DP. It is missing the Wep_ for the M10_Tri_Tubes_Mount_Ext...

Here is a new DP for a quick fix.

Oh pooh! I looked at the DP and missed the Wep_. In view of all the lovely aircraft you have bestowed on us, I think we can cut you some slack for not being perfect. Thanks again.

I had to make the extensions for the rocket tubes as they need to hang down on the P-51B for flap clearance.

I saw in the years past several addons, from other website, with payloads sticking out of the back of extended flaps. To me it's better you forgot to add the payload dp, than leaving the poor downloader to figure out how to move the weapon out of the way of the flaps!!! :encouragement:

As I had to do a number of times...... :dejection:

I saw the mounting on the A-36/P-51A to C and knew I had to make a extension for the rocket tubes. Wasn't hard as I made the rocket tubes and still had the source. Just 2 one feet tall tubes and the flaps don't hit the rocket tubes. I made the rocket tubes for a P-47D and they are mounted outboard of the flaps.

I try to sleep. Dosen't work too well but this wasn't too hard once I had the texture mapping done for the razorback part.
