You could try sending Mr. Copley a PM. I think his SOH name is dcc. His personal site is down, and he's been busy getting back up, or you'd be able to contact him there. You're doing exactly the right thing by seeking his permission first; he's very generous with his work but doesn't like mods uploaded on the internet without his knowing. If he lets one go up anywhere, it will be here.

Wolfi created this excellent stand alone figure that you add to the DP. I believe that you can find it here at the outhouse.
I did not get the VC gauges to work on the Spit.
I will try contacting Mr. C and get back to this thread.

I haven't seen DCC in ages. I hope all is well with him.

I'd say your attempt is all you can do to get his permission as of now. Go ahead and upload and if DCC is adverse to the decision, we can pull the file. It is a nice modification to his Lightning and will benefit all who fly Dave's "magnus opus." Be sure to render proper credit to DCC in your readme file and we'll go with that.

If I understand you correctly you are adding Wolfi's pilot via the DP file and aren't actually modifying the model itself.

Then you don't absolutely have to upload the model, you could just upload the dp files and in the readme file have a link to the location where people can download the aircraft.
