Pacific Ghosts - P-39F 41-7205

P-39F 41-7205 was accepted by the USAAF in January 1942 and arrived with the 5th US Army Air Force on April 15 of the same year. This is how it appeared when photographed at Townsville in April 1942 soon after the red centres of the US roundels were overpainted. The aircraft was returned to the United States in October 1944. Repaint of B-24 Guy's Overhauled MS P-39D by Daniel Leahy.
