Description: This folder contains a repaint for the Lionheart Fairchild 24, in the colors of FS537, a Fairchild Argus Mk.II which was built in 1939 with serial number R9-418. In the same year it was transported to Europe on SS. "Mauritania" (cargo papers were still available in Switzerland where '418' was registered as HB-EIM). First military registered 43-14459, it later was in service with the RAF as FS537. For a long time this Fairchild flew a regular mail-service in Switzerland. It is currently with the "Early Birds" in Lelystad, the Netherlands, where it has been restored to airworthy condition. I have included two versions, one (FS537) as it may have looked when flying with ATA during the war, ferrying pilots, and one (PH-FAI) as it looks today.

Fairchild 24 Swedish AF 2/96.zip

Description: This folder contains a repaint for the Lionheart Fairchild 24, in the colors of 2/96, a civilian Fairchild 24 that was impressed into the Swedish Air Force. At the outbreak of war, many civilian aircraft were mobilized. Most of them was larger aircraft, but lighter aircraft for liaison work were also used. The Naval Aviation Wing of F 2 at Hägernäs needed smaller aircraft for transport of personnel and liaison in their co-operation with the Navy.

For this reason, one Fairchild 24-C8CS-De Luxe was mobilized between May of 1940 and February of 1943. Its earlier civil registration was SE-AIR (in the USA ex NC15926). It was powered with a Warner Super Scarab S50 air-cooled radial engine delivering 145 hk. The aircraft was designated Tp 6 and got the Air Force number 912. At the delivery of the Tp 6 in May of 1940 to the Air Force, it crashed. But it was repaired and in service again in October the same year. After its time in the Air Force, the Fairchild went back to the civil register, where it was written off in 1951 after another crash.

Description: A repaint for the LDR Development Ryan Navion B in the colors of Ryan Navion RSAF707, which was a Navion that was painted in Royal Swedish Air Force colors in Washington DC. During that time, the Swedish Embassy was using a T-6 Texan, which is was planning to ship to Sweden. Babb & Co offered a replacement in the form of a Navion. They painted it in Swedish colors, with the registration RSAF 707, which might suggest it was c/n NAV-4-707, but this is not sure.

Description: This folder contains a repaint for the freeware Restauravia Mirage IIIC. It shows RAAF Mirage IIIO A3-42, which was delivered to the RAAF in 1966. It is shown here in the paint scheme it wore when flying with 77 squadron. It finished its RAAF service with 4015 hours on the airframe. It is currently at Essendon aircraft where it was supposed to be restored to airworthiness, but that program seems to be on hold now.

It is shown here in the paint scheme it wore when flying with 2 OCU. The aircraft later flew with 76 sqn, 3 sqn and 77 sqn, before being withdrawn in 1987 and sold to Pakistan.

Description: This folder contains a repaint for the freeware Restauravia Mirage IIIC. It shows RAAF Mirage IIIO A3-16, which was delivered to the RAAF in 1965. It is shown here in the paint scheme it wore when flying with ARDU (Aircraft Research and Development Unit). The aircraft also flew with 75 and 76 sqn. It was written off after a wheels up landing at Tullamarine, Victoria in October 1974. It has been restored and can now be seen at Classic Fighter jets Museum, in Parafield, SA.

Description: This folder contains a repaint for the freeware Restauravia Mirage IIIC. It shows Belgian Air Force Mirage V-BA serial BA 54 as flown by 1st Lt. Didier Lecqeux of No 8 squadron, basEd in Bierset. It has the text "Diyarbakir Express" on the nose in remembrance of the time sprent on Diyarbakir Air base during operation Desert Storm, when 8 squadron flew CAP missions along the Turkish-Iraqi border. The aircraft was sold to France in 1994.
