Richard G Thieme of Sheboygan WI, who flew with the 505th FS/339th FG out of Fowlmere, UK. He gave it this name "because boomerangs always come back"!

Description: This folder contains a repaint for the Warbirdsim P-51D Little Friends package in the colors of P-51D NZ2415. This aircraft was first delivered to the USAAF in July of 1945. In 1951 the aircraft began service with the RCAF as 9265, with 402 Squadron. By 1959 the aircraft was sold surplus and past through several owners. In 1984 the aircraft was restored by Tim Wallis, first flying again in 1986, as NZ 2415. The aircraft currently is owned by Graham Bethell, and is based in New Zealand, flying as ZK-TAF.

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category FSX Military skins - WWII

Description: This folder contains a repaint for the De Havilland DH89 Dragon Rapide by Dave Garwood. It shows Dragon Rapide DH89A #6259 in the colors of RAAF A33-1. The former ZK-ACO, it was registered VH-UUO between 1935 and 1940 with several different Airlines. It was impressed into RAAF service in July 1940, taken over from Guinea Airways. Transferred back to civil aviation and re-registered VH-UUO 1942 to Commonwealth Govt. Operated by ANA till it was officially returned to Guinea Airways post war. It flew as VH-UUO till September 1952, although it was damaged in may 1952 at Tooraweenah NSW.

Description: This folder contains a repaint for the De Havilland DH89 Dragon Rapide by Dave Garwood. It shows DH89B Dominie #6881, which was built at Loughborough in 1945. It flew with the RAF until 1946, when it was sold to the Belgian Air Force as D1, where it was used by the 367e Escadrille with call sign OT-ZCH. It later transferred to 21 smaldeel in 1948, and eventually was scrapped in 1953.

Description: This folder contains a repaint for the De Havilland DH89 Dragon Rapide by Dave Garwood. It shows Dominie #6929 VH-BKR, which was one of a number of Rapides flown by Connellan Airways in the 1940s and '50s, previously being RL947 with the RAF. It was actually Connellan's first and was the former RAF Dominie RL947. VH-BKR was re-registered in the Connellan series as VH-CLH in 1958, and withdrawn from use in 1962. Connellan Airways (later Connair) was an Australian air services company that was founded by Edward Connellan and operated in northern Australia.

Description: This folder contains a repaint for the De Havilland DH89 Dragon Rapide by Dave Garwood. It shows Dragon Rapide VH-UTV a DH89 that is currently airworthy in Australia. With a registration like VH-UTV one would assume, at first glance, that this Dragon Rapide was a restored pre-war Australian one. It is, however, the re-registered VH-IAN which was an RAF Dominie which originally came from New Zealand in 1971. It was re-registered VH-UTV in 1999. The aircraft is still currently flying. and is registered to Robert Fox of Kellyville, NSW.

Description: This folder contains a repaint for the De Havilland DH89 Dragon Rapide by Dave Garwood. It shows DH-84 Dragon 2 EI-ABI (cn 6105). The first Aer Lingus flight which took place in 1936 between Dublin and Bristol was operated by a DH 84 Dragon, registered EI-ABI and named Iolar (eagle). For the 75th birthday of Aer Lingus, a DH-84 was restored and painted in the colors of that first EI-ABI. The aircraft is currently operated by the Aer Lingus Charitable Foundation.

Description: This folder contains a repaint for the DeHavilland DH89 Dragon Rapide by Dave Garwood, in the colors of DH-89A OO-AFG (cn 6458) was registered to Avions Fairey SA at Gosselies on 27 February 1958. After a spell with Air Affairs the machine was re-registered OO-CNP on 10 April 1964 and after a very hard landing ended up at the Royal Army Museum at Brussels were it is now being restored in its original British colours wearing registration G-AKNV.

Description: This folder contains a repaint for the De Havilland DH89 Dragon Rapide by Dave garwood. It shows DH-89B ZK-AEC (cn 6334) "Mercury" of Cook Strait Airways. Shipped to New Zealand on "Tamaroa" arriving in early October 1936. Assembled and test flown at Nelson on 07 October of that year and entered service on the following day. Impressed into RNZAF at Ohakea on 15 October 1939 for a cost of 20,500 pounds as NZ555. Converted to navigation and bombing trainer and operated by Air Gunners and Observers School at Ohakea. Dismantled and shipped to Fiji on "Kaiwarra" in October 1940, arriving at Lautoka on 06 November to serve with the RNZAF Detached Flight at Nandi. Transferred to No.4 Bomber Reconnaissance Squadron from 08 October 1941, and then to Communications Flight at Nausori on 25 June 1942. Scrapped in Fiji on 19 September 1945 due to airframe deterioration caused by tropical conditions and written off books at Fiji on 19 November 1945.

NZ's oldest complete twin-engined aircraft, preserved at the Museum of Transport and Technology.

After the war became ZK-AHS with Air Travel (NZ) Ltd, before continuing as 'Mokai' with NZNAC. It later flew with NZ Tourist Air Travel and Mt.Cook Southern Lakes Tourist Co. NZ's oldest complete twin-engined aircraft, it is preserved at the Museum of Transport and Technology.

Description: This folder contains a repaint for the De Havilland DH89 Dragon Rapide by Dave Garwood. It shows DH89B Dominie #6673 ZK - AKT. This was one of 9 Dominies obtained by the RNZAF, and had the serial NZ530. It was registered ZK - AKT in 1946 and served with NAC until 1956. It was then sold to West Coast Airways who operated it until 1965. It was then flown by NZ Tourist Air Travel until 15 April 1967, when it suffered a twin engine failure, and made a forced landing on the Shotover river bed. The remains were burnt after all salvageable parts were removed.

Description: This folder contains a repaint for the De Havilland DH89 Dragon Rapide by Dave Garwood. It shows DH-89B ZK-AKU (cn 6662), which was the last of the original three Rapides of Union Airways to open up the Cook Strait services after WW II. It is flew in NZNAC service, named "Tawaka". ZK-AKU was sold in 1963 to the Nelson Aero Club and then to Patchett Safaris of Christchurch in 1965. Rotorua Aerial Charter purchased it in 1967. This is the paint scheme depicted here. It was sold to D. Gray, Auckland in 1968. It took part in the London to Sydney Air Race in 1969, and remained at Bankstown for a while following the race, during which time Greg Banfield took the third shot below early on the morning of 5 January 1970. ZK-AKU is currently still airworthy and based at Ardmore. It is now painted as "warbird" NZ528, its RNZAF serial during the war.

Description: This folder contains a repaint for the De Havilland DH89 Dragon Rapide by Dave Garwood. It shows Dragon Rapide #6648 ZK-BCP of South Island Airways. This Dominie had served with the RNZAF as NZ524 before being civilianized as a Dragon Rapide in 1953 for South Island Airways. ZK-BCP was sold in Australia in 1975 becoming VH-BGP. It was once part of the ill-fated Wangaratta Airworld Museum.It is now owned by Bruce Ivers who is having it lovingly restored (as a long term project) at Croydon Aircraft.

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category P3D / P4D Add-Ons - Warbird repaints

Description: Here is a repaint for the Warbirdsim P-51B model for FSX, in the colors of #42-106661, PZ-J "Hot Stuff". the aircraft of major Willie O. Jackson of the HQ of the 352rd FG. The aircraft was lost on 7 June 1944, with its pilot, major Edward J. Gignac being killed. I've included two paints, one with, and one without invasion stripes.
