Skysim Mirage IIIE French Air Force #586.zip

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category P3D / P4D Add-Ons - General Military repaints

Description: This folder contains six repaints for the Skysim Mirage III for FSX. It contains all the different codes worn by Mirage IIIE c/n 586 during its career with the French Air Force.

It started flying with EC02/004 'LaFayette' on 12/11/1969 as 4-BB (F-ULBB), originally with the serial 4-BB on the fuselage, in 1972 this was moved to the nose, along with some minor changes to the paint. Both versions are included as 4-BB early and late respectively. It had a major averhaul in late 1979 and came back to EC02/004 as 4-BN (F-ULBN), flying until 10/02/1980. It was then stored for two years and was reassigned to EC 01/004 (Dauphiné) as 4-AF (F-ULAF) until 01/09/1987, when it went back to EC 02/004 as 4-BR (F-ULBR). It was stored for a second time in august 1988, re-emerging in februari 1992 as 3-XF (F-UGXF) with EC 03/003 'Ardennes'. It was retired in May, 1993.

Description: This folder contains a repaint for the DeHavilland DH98 Mosquito Mk.VI by Just Flight, in the colors of FB.Mk.40 A52-62 of No.5 OTU, RAAF, 1944. After WWII, it was sold to Titus Oates, becoming VH-KLG. He planned to participate in the London-Christchurch Air Race, but was forced to ditch the aircraft near Burma on the way to London due to navigational difficulties.

Description: This folder contains a repaint for the DeHavilland DH98 Mosquito Mk.VI by Just Flight, in the colors of Mosquito FB.VI MM404 SB-T of No.464 Squadron, RAAF, based in Hunsden, UK. It was shot down during the raid on Amiens Prison on 18 Febraury 1944. The pilot, squadron leader A. Ritchie was wounded and taken prisoner, but the navigator, flight lieutenant R Sampson, was killed.

Description: This folder contains a repaint for the DeHavilland DH98 Mosquito Mk.VI by Just Flight, in the colors of Mosquito FB.VI NT137 TH-T,'Lady Luck' as flown by Flt Lt Jack Philipps DFC and navigator F/O Bernard Job, of No 418 Squadron, RCAF, in 1944. The aircraft was written off after a landing incident in 1946 with 13 OTU RAF at Middleton St George.

Originally built as C-47 42-24345, it went to the US Navy as R4D-5 BuNo 39080. It was rebuilt as R4D-8 after the war, becoming 43354. It went civilian as N2017X and later as C-GGKG with first Millardair and later Ken Borek Air.

It is still flying, as N28TN with TransNorthern Aviation in Alaska"

Built as C-47 42-23580, it became a R4D-8 with BuNo 12420. After its military life it first became N89WA with Western International and later C-GJGN with Millardair. Since 1988 it is based in Florida, where it has been flying with TMF Aircraft since 2013.

Description: This folder contains a repaint for version 3.14 of the Douglas C-47 by Manfred Jahn and colleagues in the colors of C-47 VH-AGU of Adastra Aerial Surveys. It was originally constructed for the USAAF in 1944 as a C-47B-35-DK and allocated the military serial 44-76336. In February 1945 it was acquired by the RAAF and allocated the serial A65-72. Operated until 1959, it was then sold to Adastra Airways and converted for civil use. In October 1964 the aircraft was re-registered to Sepal Pty Ltd, but in October 1969 it was acquired by Adastra Aerial Surveys Pty Ltd. Adastra Aerial Surveys was acquired by East-West Airlines Ltd in April 1973 and VH-AGU was re-registered to East-West Airlines on 12 November 1974. East-West won the MLS trials support contract in December 1974 and VH-AGU was re-painted in East-West colours at Tamworth in the month prior to positioning at Melbourne/Essendon for the commencement of the contract on 25 January 1975. At some stage in the late 1970s the aircraft was transferred to South Coast Aviation, another East-West subsidiary. The aircraft was withdrawn from service in August 1979 at Essendon at the conclusion of its Departmental charter, and sold to Aerodyne Pty Ltd of Moorabbin. Since then, it has had several owners, and is still airworthy, flying in a USAF Vietnam war scheme from Morwell, Victoria.

Description: This folder contains a repaint for version 3 of the Douglas C-117D Skytrooper by Manfred Jahn and colleagues in the colors of #1632 of the Colombian Air Force. Originally C-47 42-24158, it became R4D-8 BuNo 39070 with the US Navy. It later became N34AH, before going to the Colombiaan Air Force in 1998 s #1632. It was later impounded in the US for drug running and was last seen in Arizona, where it was reported to be sold in 2017.

Description: This folder contains a repaint for version 3 of the Douglas C-117D Skytrooper by Manfred Jahn and colleagues in the colors of US Navy R4D-8 BuNo 12437. Originally built as C-47 42-23758, it became BuNo 12437 R4D-8 with the US Navy after the war. The paint shows it the way it looked while flying in Africa in the 1970's. Since 1981 it has been flying as N44GH, mainly in Texas, and it certificate of airworthiness was cancelled in 2017.
