P3d v3

According to AirDailyX p3dv3 is close to release. So close that some developers have received their keys. No news on changes from v2 yet but can always hope for 64bit.

I've been thinking about P3D for some time. I figure version 3 will be a good excuse to dump FSX and move on.

I Do Not own P3D.

Will someone clear me up on this --->>>

1.) Y'all have to pay $$$ for every time a new version comes out ... meaning FULL PRICE or just UPGRADE PRICE ? ....

2.) Y'all have to do complete un-install and New Full Install ... meaning the product does not recognize it's own self and should just adds the updated bits &bobs ? ....

:dizzy: :dizzy: :dizzy:

You had to pay full price for v1, and then again for V2, and I assume for V3 as well, same as FS2002, 2004, FSX etc.
Point upgrades, say from 2.0 to 2.1 are free. Sometimes they did require a full re-install, but not always. Depended on what was changed. What's going to happen with V3 point updates no-one knows yet (unless you work for LM!)

Thanks for that DaveWG.

I don't think I'll ever own it until they get it FULLY completed and remove that silly little rule: the "not for entertainment" ... in the license .

Nobody moans about X-Plane and having to pay again when they upgrade release numbers.
Nobody moaned when MSFS was upgraded FS5, 5.1, FSFW, 98, 2000, 2002, 2004, FSX.
But this comes up every time P3D make a major update for some reason. :biggrin-new:
