P3Dv3.1 before end of year!

In the present version my HOTAS Warthog joystick and throttle are not recognized when I use its Target software, and the throttle does not work when I do not use Target. I understand LM are working on this issue. Will it be fixed in 3.1?
 
I have not had the opportunity to even install V3 yet, altho' the files have been downloaded. Guess I will wait till the V3.1 update is released.
 
ORBX and v3.1 question ?

I have not specifically asked this on the ORBX forum yet but have searched through their threads and hav'nt found what I was looking for yet . Thought someone here could answer :

How would the ORBX scenery be effected by installing the update v3.1 since ORBX installers puts the scenery within P3Dv3.0 and Lockheed Martin keeps telling us not to load anything within the sim folder ? All the other scenery I have is on another drive and I just link it to v3.0 in the Scenery Library .

is there any specific reason why we shouldnt load anything within the sim.

I have all addon scenery using synbolic links and most aircrafts as well, but thats mainly in order to keep the SSD slim.
 
I think they say this by principle. The new folder arrangement is pretty straight forward, distinguishing sharply between user content, variable application content, and fixed application content. If LM would say something different they would undermine their own strategy :)

Of course you can save your user content in the sim directory, however, it theoretically could happen that a future update clears the fixed application folders and your stuff is gone.
