Is anyone still flying P3Dv3. Are FSX aircraft more compatible wirh V3? I was asking since I know it's 32bit ans so is FSX.

Thanks,

Rob

To my knowledge, there is almost no difference regarding sceneries. Sceneries which are designed for v4 and comes with dynamic lighting can stay dark at some area in P3Dv3 though.

Regarding aircraft, there are several differences, for example cockpit sounds. Models designed for P3Dv4 upwards use 64bit dlls which used in P3Dv3 will not work. Also several clickable animations may stay without function.
In P3Dv4 most aircraft work fine and you can get a 64bit sound gauge repairing file by which you get back the clicking sounds.
I use so many (native!) FSX aircraft also in P3Dv4 which work like a charm.

There are many advantages in v4 in comparison to v3, for example dynamic lighting which is a huge improvement.
So, if you have to decide buying P3Dv3 or P3Dv4, I would absolutely recommend v4!

One thing about P3d4, which I love, is that old gau gauges do not work; however I use FS Panel studio to replace them with various xml gauges, which abound as freeware or from other planes that have the same type. Not a big deal for me.
