• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

P3Dv4 SWS Phantom and Coral Sea Problems

Would of course normally post on the SWS site however I have registered and still not received an activation email. Checked my registration and address on the SWS site and they are correct.

Issues:

  1. The Coral Sea configurator allows you to select options, but I only get a clean deck.
  2. The aircraft configurator shows presents for Piglet's Skyraider and the F-4 however I could not trap either after repeated attempts on the CV43.
  3. I trapped the Phantom on the freeware Midway but could not launch. There appears to be no launch bar entries in the air.cfg. I would expect users would like to use the F-4 with other carriers. Is there an entry for this?

I did a reinstall but no improvement. Is there going to be a new/better installer available?

Hi, check if you have this lines in the aircraft.cfg

launch_bar_pivot= 17.158, 0.000, -5.15
launch_bar_lug= 19.926, 0.000, -7.221
 
For launching you need to use "launch bar lowering" action first, which in the F-4B it raises the nose gear. Default key is shift-U if I remember well. Then you can attach the plane and launch.

Are you sure you're not on the Midway when using the Coral Sea configurator? To enable the Midway configurator you need to activate the Midway in the aircraft selection and presets app.

The last bit answered my question. You cannot trap because of a bug which exists in your version.

We did not release an update to third parties to address it, including JF, because our in-house release stumbled on a major bug. Releasing it to third parties would be frustrating to most customers so we pulled it back.

We have worked it out, will test this week and release soon.
