PAD DeHavilland DHC-3 Turbo Otter Released

The FSX Kenmore Air DeHavilland DHC-3 Turbo Otter by Premier Aircraft Designs is found HERE. Looks like this could be the last release for PAD after 16 years of production. Enjoy.
 
That model was released about 5 years ago. This appears to be an update by an outside concern. The PAD website has been closed for at least a year now (since Jean Pierre's passing), basically remaining open to allow downloads.
 
Actually the site is still open and quite active for continued livery requests and new downloads --about 1 to 3 new ones per week. Only the development of new models had to halt with Jean Pierre's passing.

It's still on flightsim.com file name is dhc3f_kenmet_x.zip thumbnail shows it with floats.
I have no problem downloading it, look in new files for FSX in library, it was put on there on the 14th March 2013.
 
Prop Issues

Its nice don't get me wrong......but I wish the prop texture could be cleaned up a bit. If you look at the stock DHC 2 in FSX they spin a bit cleaner. Is there a way to improve it a bit?
 
disk is fine, bang a new alpha in with a dxt5 alpha, happy days. Just needs more gradient in the alpha shading and bob's your uncle.

A new blur for all versions of the turbo otter by PAD, (Two files, prop_TBX.bmp and prop2_TBX.bmp, as some variants use prop2, some prop, simply put a copy of both in each folder for hassle free paint scheme transfers :) )

Thanks a million.... that is a much much better looking prop. I wouldn't of known how to manulipate the DXTBMP to get the results you got.
Btw why the prop2_TBX file? Only one file was overwritten, why the 2nd file?

As I said, not all versions of the turbo otter call the same file... between the different models, some call prop, some call prop2, I included both to make it easier to transfer paint schemes between models :)

Thanks Firekitten. Much improved. I'm pretty good with modifying cfg files but I'm fairly worthless with DXTbmp. Very appreciated.
