Daft question, but you are trying to open the right files aren't you? The volume 3 paintkit contains .PSD Photoshop files and .PSP Paintshop files, can't remember if the others are the set up the same; I'm using CS6 and having no problems opening any of the .PSD files.

Hmm Interseting I've just checked the zip file and the the only files in the FGR.1/2 paint kit are PSP files! I see no other file types here except bmp's but there for the alpha channels?

Well the plot thickens just downloaded the trial version of paint shop pro and it crashes the program if I try and open any of the files!!!! anyway I've just knocked this up with what I have. here's XT589 with Naval Aircraft Support Unit (N.A.S.U) Yeovilton Late 60's Early 70's. will post up now.

Ha, yes! I've also got Paintshop and batch converted the lot to .PSD files. At least we now know why you can't open them!!!! You have a PM.

As I recall PS doesn't handle psp files [they're the competition], but PSP handles psd files...cos they're the 'standard'...;)

Hooky722,

It is a common problem when you use an older version of PSP like I do. What I normally do is open them in gimp (which is free) and re-save (or actually export) them in psp format. After that they wil open without a problem.

Cheers,
