The chipped green cockpit paint make me think military of some sort.

That is not a Cessna 172 Skyhawk or any Single Engine Beechcraft IMO. That chipped zinc chromate screams U.S. Military to me. Also those side by side center panel gauges may mean twin engine as well like a P-38 Lightning.

I believe it is a variation of a Twin Beech. look ar Gladden or Shupes aircraft.

Defintely a twin -see the dual warning lights for fuel and oil pressures.

Could be an updated twin Beech 18, maybe an Electra 10?
