Parallel42 // FreedomFox & Fox2

After balking at the price up-thread, I went ahead and bought this due to all of the positive buzz. What an amazing job on the plane. Flies beautifully, looks great, and seems to perform akin to how Palmer describes the real thing. (Except you can't adjust trim in the sim by shifting your body around! :) )

Now if only I could erase that horrible BT Studio Kitfox I bought off Marketplace right after sim launch from my "Not Downloaded" list. And from my memory. :) I was willing to cut the dev slack because he launched one of the very first add-ons, back when documentation and SDK support was abysmal. But he's had a loooong time to fix egregious issues and hasn't done so. And not nitpicky issues like "unlabeled engine gauges" or "I see a roughly textured polygon in the back of the storage area behind cockpit" but rather "this STOL plane needs a half-mile to stop" kind of issues.

I'm very much in the "you can never have too many bush planes" camp,

I'm very much in the "you can never have too many DC-3's, C-47's, Dakotas and Gooney Birds" camp and we ain't got non, nothing, nada... Ain't that sad ?..

Ok, i'll head on over to the Market and buy this thing, atleast it's a taildragger... Sigh....

Patience is a virtue...:engel016:

Sure thing but it's also a boring solitair cardgame which we (DC-3 aficionados) have been playing for almost one and a half year now. But i will write "Patience is a virtue" on the nose of my personal MSFS Dakota asap just if you let me, Baz.. :)

Btw, to get back on topic (sorry about that), i did not buy that Fox afterall. I mean, looking at digital analog instruments on a computer monitor is, let's say, bizarre enough already but looking at a computer monitor on a computer monitor is just one computer monitor too much for me.

Must say that matte Black Fox here in the screenshot above does have a certain "je ne sais quoi" about it. Does Batman fly a plane already ?

It can always be worse :biggrin-new::

Good find !

Long time ago we had this:

Droste-Effect.jpg

Became famous as 'the Droste Effect' . 'Mise en Abyme' is the fancy word for it.

No, i kinda hate glass cockpits. Blèhhh.... Nothing to fumble around with. I love analog gauges and lots of it and knobs and switches even more lots of it. Flying the needles rocks !

Warning: Sharp Left Turn Ahead!

When you aim your webcam back at the screen with a little twist...
