HI,

A question - I installed ETO onto a vanilla CFS3 out of the box. Is that wrong. I've read talk of using 3.1 patch or something first.

What is that, and is it essential?
If so can someone post me the link to the patch?

And would it solve my "freeze" problem in eras 1 and 2?

Erm, yes... The two patches - 3.1 and 3.1a - are essential and can be had from Microsoft:-

Add 3.1 first and fly the sim in Quick Combat, then add 3.1a and fly it again in QC before installing ETO. I'm afraid you'll need to delete ETO and reinstall it after the updates. For full details of how to do this, see the ETO Installation guide:-

But before you do this, check About on the in-game menu of your vanilla CFS3: if it reports that you have version 3.1 already then you're probably using the Ubisoft release and only need the 3.1a patch.

OK will reinstall, think it was 3.1a I didn't have - I have the original Microsoft Game Studios version- not a problem! Thanks for help x

PS - no-one has replied to my post about era 1 and 2 freezing. Do you think this 3.1a install will solve the problems?
