Patriots cut Tim Tebow.....

Hey All,

Faith in God can do a lot but it can't throw a forward pass, avoid a tackler or think on the run.

For all that's been said about him, and for all that's transpired in his tenure with both the Jets and the Pats... in 2011 he did his work for the Broncos. That year, he made Football exciting for the City of Denver again.

He was a great Gator, and in the age of Thugs on the field, this kid Got Class....Life Is not just a Foot Ball Game..Its not the end of this remarkable young man..God Bless Him

Like any other rookie, he needed to be given a chance. A chance he really never got. John Elway was a rookie, and in his first few years as a Denver Bronco... he had a rough go too. But John became one of the greatest quarterbacks in the NFL, because he had talent, and he was given a chance to prove it.

IMO... Tim Tebow would also be a great quarterback if someone would just give him that same chance. The kid's got talent, but for some reason no one wants to work with him or give him a "shot at the big time". His religious belief has nothing to do with it, but it's a plus for him. Two years is nothing. Just my 2 bits.

It might be a little early to write the epitaph on his football career. If he has talent someone will pick him up. He's had plenty of exposure, so everyone knows he's out there.

Same thing in Indy. Tony Dungy saw something in Payton Manning that others didn't. He gave Payton the chance and it paid off.

The gross incompetence of the Jets front office and coaching staff set him back a lot. It was a wasted year and wasted years are something young quarterbacks rarely come back from. He's never had the NFL game, but he's always had the highest professional attitude.

I really think he ought to play in the CFL. It did a lot of good for many borderline quarterbacks and if Tebow can refine his passing, then he has all the other tools.

Quite correct. Unfortunately, it was Manning leaving Indy, coming on the open market and Denver deciding to grab him that was Tim's undoing. And then getting stuck in the comedy of the Jets last year certainly didn't help. Certainly hope that he can get to a team where he can get some quality coaching help. As a prior post said, he may have to try a completely different league.

Yes...
Tebow brought something to Denver that you just can't measure with "Xs & Os" and you just can't rack up on the 'stat sheet' :mixedsmi:

Sorry about that. It wasn't a very popular decision in these parts either; we're hoping to Luck out with "the new guy".
