patrouille suisse jet formation team add-on for FSX

I had it in FS2004, it was super hard work but a fun challenge.

If it's the same F-5 as the Fly The Tiger package then it's a very nice model. I wasn't too enamoured with the flight model (just my personal opinion that in no way reflects how the aircraft actually flies in real life) but apart from that it was an okay purchase.

Same models just different package as the Patroulli package includes the scenery and the Fly the Tiger X has other load-outs instead of scenery I think. Both have the same external mapping as the old DSB F-5 freeware so all the repaints work. The plane is a dedicated FSX model with all the associated bells and whistles: bump mapping, shelf shadowing ect. One of the models in the Fly the Tiger X had an error where one of the sidewinder rails rotated with the flaps. I dont know if that has been resolved.

They have released a service pack for it since. Curiously it doesn't appear on the English language page though. Here is a link to the German page.

I have tried it and it works fine. Actually if you have the package I highly recommend the service pack since it makes the VC more functional.

Tigisfat, I would have to say that overall I like this package. The cockpit is well defined and it flys like a jet with high wing loading. The only gripe I have about the cockpit is where the left sidewall mates up against the edge of the instrument panel. There is a small sliver where you can see outside, but it is barely noticeable (it's in the FSX model but not in the FS9 model). The formation stuff is overall pretty good, but there were a couple of instances were the AI planes jumped ahead or back momentarily...just a couple and only in one mission, and it might have been my rig. There are six formation missions to fly and one that has you at the airport just being a spectator. You get the FSX and the FS9 models...all seven plane paints and two spares. I've recently reinstalled FS9 with some scenery upgrades and I flew the plane in both sims. Overall, Thumbs Up on the package.
