PBY Philippines 1941

A very pretty portayal of the PBY. Although it's too bad that the Yagi antennas are shown. They weren't placed on a PBY until October of 1942, long after the meatball was removed from the insignia.
Although the Yagi antenna was invented by the Japanese in 1926, Japanese radsr techincians did not become aware of it until they captured an Allied aircraft.

Ok, she is all cleaned up and ready to package. Should have the upload ready in a short time.

Thank you so very much Tom, I really look forward to seeing this. and thanks for sharing it with us.

Thanks Dag, you are one of my heros, I used your great RAFs paint as a guide for the camo lines and added another color. Nothing more difficult for me than matching up all the areas on a camo scheme. Your work is an inspiration for me.

I use rivets and I count them to match camo colour demarcation, I've been know to be a rivet counter :kilroy: It has it's advantages to be one sometimes. Apart from that thanks for the kind words and :redf:

Thanks

Aerosoft has offered to host an ftp download site with the demise of Avsim. I gave it a try this a.m. and you can download the PBY VP-101 Philippines 1941 repaint by clicking here.

Thanks to Mathijs and Shaun for the service.

Dag, I also use the rivet, seams and just about anything I can to match up the colors but it is still difficult for me. Must be my eyes. There are some beautiful paint on the horizon. Looking forward to them all.
