Pics from 2nd Wave.

As you can see the ships are already burning from the first wave and Nevada is on the move.

Thanks Talon.

I am looking forward to these Missions. My wife wants to go to Maui next year and I think we will have to visit Pearl Harbour and the "Arizona Memorial."

Al, great stuff. Did you get the Nevada to run aground? I don't know if that's even possible. Never saw it in CFS3 before.

Hi Talon,

what's the story about flak? Were a lot of the gunstations on the large capital ships vacant, or did the sailors manage to man the AA guns?

I seem to remember reading something about it by Bob, that AA had been reduced for RS Pearl harbor?

I'm just curious - no particular preference one way or the other.

I don't know if the Flak was reduced in RS but I reduced it at Pearl for myself. If all the ships were firing you got hit pretty often and survival wasn't easy.

In the first wave of the attack the flak was lighter.Alot of 50 cal and light guns started things off.Remember the ammo was locked up. Even so the Japanese were surprised at how fast the the ships started firing at them.It was only a few minuts after the attack started. The second wave the flak was much heavier and accurate. Most of the Japanese planes shot down was during the second wave.

My plan is to have more flak during the second wave attacks.

I have been making new Flak facility files for these missions. They add more realism to the missions and make them tougher.

Looks pretty stunning. As much flak as you think appropriate!!!

Comment, for those going over the Memorial:about 20 years ago it still had traces of bunker oil (I guess) wafting up to the surface (chilling and poignant)
