Pearl Harbor Project 2 files have been sent to upload!! README!!

I am just getting around to downloading and installing the files, but I have no doubt that this is going to be a special delight. Many thanks to all who participated in this project!!!!!!

Crash's next installment (PHP2-5) should be up and ready for download soon. It has a lot of updated texture files in it as well as the FDG C-47.
 
jagd,i allready downloaded the C-47.could this be the reason my MB is messing up?corrupted files and all that.i dont know.

Could be. I don't have access to a CFS 2 capable computer right now, so I can't confirm that, but please let us know if the new pack fixes your issues once you DL and install it.

There is an older gentleman who lives down the street who was at Pearl just after the attack, He was in one of the Army units transferred to Hawaii very soon after it happened. I will see if I can get him to view it and tell you of his remarks.

It is very stunning, I especially love the detail - so much to explore!!

I want to help some more, as there are a few other textures missing:

The Aloha tower is a very interesting landmark, I haven`t been there in real life, so your virtual one was my invitation to go there.

The tower has a few blank spots, so I looked deeper into the bgl file:

ALOHATOWERTOP.BMP
CLOCKFACE.BMP
ALOHA SIGN.BMP


..were missing in my install.

For the untextured Hangars at Hickam others reported as well:
I found these missing:

HICKAM_GIRD.BMP
HICKAM_HGR.BMP
HICKAM_HGR_FAR.BMP
HICKAM_HGR_DMG.BMP
TAN3X4WINDOW.BMP
TAN3X4WINDOWDMG.BMP
TAN5X4WINDOW.BMP
RD_STEELDMG.BMP
RD_STEEL.BMP
GV_TB1_2.BMP
HICKAM_HGR_WALL.BMP


Then there is another Tower (for Water?) with some blank spots:

The next seems to be a generic file from the civil FS series, but I don`t have it in my install yet too:

Thanks Jaxon!! I think the recent #5 upload is going to cover most if not all those issues.

The missing textures are my bad.... most of the issues had to do with me using the textures I used in GMAX... have to have 2 sets of textures... the optimized textures used in CFS2 and the ones we use so we can view them in GMAX and map the objects.

it looks good to me now but still getting the issue with the c47 witch is not really a problem btw i placed my ships in the harbor & ran some tests and I'm getting 25 fps I cant wait! for the gsl dmg models and Talons missions! its going to be glorious!!

Physically and emotionally drained....

I have a favor (of sorts) to ask...

Does a "Master List" exist that details the exact definition of each building Dp in the PHP Ver 2 kit ?

Some are self-explanatory [fordtower.dp, for example]... but others (fimsss.dp) are too elusive for my poor feeble brain tonight.

Why, you ask ?

Because I'm an inveterate DP file tweaker, and want to make certain buildings and objects have more "grandiose" expirations than stock....

So - when there's time....

Hi Crashaz and all,

The two cranes "PHP_Harbor_crane_3" and PHP_Harbor_crane_4" are missing the DP files. That is why they don"t show up and you can not select them in MB.

Also, the BGL file "php2_navyyard.bgl" has duplicate obj. in it.
The only obj. in the "pdp2_navyyard" bgl that is being used in the GSL file is the "PHP2_harbor_crane_2".

So, if you use the fixed GSL file that I posted you can delete the "php2_navyyard.bgl" file. This will save 2,148KB.

Help!

I think that I am missing a few downloads. Were the files listed for PHP2 the only ones I needed? I show missing textures for: "fordwatertank, tower1, barracks_d5, barracks_endcap_d1, lw_wharf_section_d1 a few other lindsay trees, guardhouse_d1, oiltank_d1, blkhseadd_1stry_15x15" to name a few. I have looked over and over again in the files listed as download but can't find them.

PHP2 MISSING LDW_generic_03 and LWD_palm_04????

Everything is working and looking JUST GREAT ... but from the get go, I've been getting a "CAN'T FIND" for these two things:

lwd_generic_03

lwd_palm_04

I just click past them and run the game ... but it DOES bug me 'cause I don't know where to find these two items.
