Pearl Harbor project scenery...

Hey guys,

Kdriver took it upon himself to make INFO shots of all the scenery objects in the Pearl Harbor project package, and discovered in the process that there are several texture bitmaps which are either missing from the package entirely or don't exist.

This is going to sound like like the back of a milk carton, but has anyone seen...

Any help would be appreciated, and then I can get permission from Crashaz to include the screenshots in the package!
 
Never seen them. If all else fails let me know and I can try to use Model Converter X to get the objets with the missing textures into gMax so I can see the mapping of the missing texture to make something that will fit.
 
I splitted all the objects to single BGLs.

If I remember correctly, there were double entries of some buildings in the original BGLs and some textures were missing.

There were several cranes with different textures in the pack nd not all cranes/textures were needed actually.

Here are the missing textures, that I found in my installation. Might be that I have collected them elsewhere and renamed them.

The crane is my rework with smooth alphachannel texture.

Note that you are looking for different named NavalDepot texture.


Tindepot is the texture of "Hangar35", which I actually have not seen in my PHP Scenery yet - only the untextured building during an objects test mission:

Thank you for your work thus far...any chance you and Allen could team up to redo the .bgls and textures that are doubles and/or missing?
 
I can make destoryable objects but can't combine them into a one large bgl file.

Here are the Hickam hangars today. As you can see there are four different colours for the roofs. I wonder which one, if any, was the original colour.

Your sand texture for the berm around the fuel tanks looks good.

The naval depot and tin depot textures are anyone's guess.

When you look at the Oahu military installations using Google Earth, most of the buildings are white or off-white.

A number of these buildings could be useful in the ETO with modified textures.

When Hiede was in NJ in September she gave me some DVDs of Talons CFS2 installs.One was of his PHP2 original install from when the project was first started till it was released.Here's some pics of the original buildings.

Thanks for the pictures - LWD_ROOF_05.bmp is now accounted for - it's dark brown and used on a number of buildings including the main Hickam hangars.

Thanks B24Guy for tidying up the BGLs - good work spotting the duplicates.

Geez not like I am exactly in hiding...a friend from Facebook pointed this thread out to me. I will have a look and see what I have.

If you see textures with DMG in the name.... those are the damage textures.... similarly... if it seems we have copies of models.... I bet you are looking at the damage models... which may look the same... but another model calling dmg textures.

We did a lot of the hangers especially with damage models... so if you blow them up.... the model changes on the fly.

Seaplane base

If PHP2 is being updated, is it possible to add a seaplane base at Kaneohe? I would like to use some of Shessi's seaplanes here. I can only use amphibs such as his Duck now. Is it even possible to add a seaplane base to the existing PHP2 setup?

Seaplane base Clarification

I was wondering if a seaplane base could be added to PHP? A base where seaplanes start and take off from the water. For example: in Rami's Port Darwin there is a land base called Darwin RAAF and another on the water called Darwin Seaplane. In PHP2 Kaneohe NAS is a land base (seaplanes w/o wheels cannot take off). Can a water base be added near Kaneohe, on the water, and named Kaneohe seaplane.

it should be easy enough. Go into MB and get the coords. note the direction for takeoff. then you can add it to the Airbase.dat. If you need an afd entry then use this...

easy to use. it will even make the airbase.dat entry for you.

If you use MKAFD then select an FS runway and chose no runway under surfaces.

Would you mind posting the original LWD_ROOF_05.bmp, NAVALDEPOT.bmp, SANDYGC.bmp and CRNEBODY.bmp? I think Jaxon's ones, which look fine, are not the originals but are either his work or renamed textures from elsewhere.
