Would you mind posting the original LWD_ROOF_05.bmp, NAVALDEPOT.bmp, SANDYGC.bmp and CRNEBODY.bmp? I think Jaxon's ones, which look fine, are not the originals but are either his work or renamed textures from elsewhere.

I went though Talon's original PHP2 install and found the LWD_ROOF_05.bmp and NAVALDEPOT.bmp.These are the original textures he used.They date 2004 and 2007.I couldn't find the other 2 bmp's in either installs he had.

I tried these in the newer PHP from 2010 and they didn't change anything that I could see,roofs are still white.It might be that the buildings were changed for the 2010 version and the textures have to be renamed or something else.

Thanks for those. It is strange - the hangar with the missing roof texture on Ford Island is now fixed but the ones at Hickam are still white, even though their BGLs show the same bitmap when disassembled. The navy yard depot, which is not used in the scenery, is also fixed.

This is what I found comparing the old PHP2 ( 2004-2007 ) to the one released in 2010.The older one has dp files for the Hickam hangars while the new one doesn't. I re-downloaded the PHP scenery to make sure.

The newer version also has more BGLs.I don't know which would have the Hickam hangers and I don't know how to open them.
 
Model Converter X may be able to open the BGLs. If it can than you need to use the object list (by the back and forward arrows) to look at every object.

The textures hickam_hgr.bmp and hickam_hgr_far.bmp look quite detailed when viewed with DXT1 Bitmap Manipulator, but when viewed in the sim they appear different colours and blurry.

Sent you the rd_steel texture.I tried it and now have the brown roofs for the Hickam hangers

Did anyone figure out a way for Bellows Field to appear or be available for Free Flight? Kevin solved my desire for seaplane bases, but this glitch still bugs me.

There should be a Bellows2_AFD.bgl OR Bellows2_A16N.bgl file somewhere in a scenery folder.
The 2_AFD specific file would go into the SCENEDB/AFDFILES/SCENERY folder and delete the "filelist.dat" file.
The 2_A16N specific file would go into the SCENEDB/RUNWAYS/SCENERY folder and delete the "filelist.dat" file.

I believe our "*"2_AFD.bgl or "*"2_A16N.bgl files are the ones which determine fields in your free flight option.

I don't remember if they have to be in the AFDFILES scenery folder or the RUNWAYS scenery folder for certain, but somebody with more memory power will get on and correct this.
 
Here is the corrected file. The original version in part 3 of the PHP didn't name the airfield within the contents of the BGL.

Likely do to texture mapping. A small bmp could be stretched out...

The two bitmaps are 1024 X 1024. I tried resizing them to 512 and 256 but there was no difference to the final appearance.

You were right about the Bellows BGL file. Bellows is listed in Free Flight as "Untitled Scenery" I vaguely remember a dispute over Bellows location and I am using the PTO master airbases provided by Rami. Therefore, I assume CFS2 can't find a name for the base in the BGL file. The mission works beautifully.

Good Luck to you and the Guys on your cleanup of the PHP2 scenery.

This is really turning into a fantastic thread. I am keeping a compiled Pearl Harbor scenery packet on my desktop, and updating it from what I see in the thread thus far. :encouragement:
