Pearl Harbor

...looks amazing!! It seems to me the main shortcoming of our scenery is the ability to effectively map elevation... But one thing I've always wondered about is when flying about in the Southern Italian Alps there are many different size lakes at all different elevations... so how can we (or why can't we) copy the effect elsewhere????? :mixedsmi: (a 'landclass' issue perhaps?)

Looking forward to fly these ones. Flying a Kate (my favorite Japaneese WWII aircraft) at Pearl Harbor is something I've never done, it is one of the last simmer old dream I have not yet accomplished.

Water creation/elevation is relative to the mesh elevation. So in the mountains away from the ocean shore the lakes will be at the proper elevation. The ocean water in the theater is at sea level and in CFS3 if you try to have higher elevations at ocean shoreline you start getting what I call "water riffs" Long white line that stretch for miles. Vertical uplifts at shore like Dover Cliffs can not be created within the mesh otherwise you will get ugly situations. Dover cliffs in ETO is a series of buildings.

So we compromise and do the best we can. More Pearl screenies, excellent ac texture by Bravo4.
