Pete Watkins' wonderful re-paints .

Gentlemen,good news.
I contacted Pete's widow,Maria,and asked if she would kindly give permission as virtual curator of Peter's legacy of paints for the late Dave Moly's,Keith Paine's et all's virtual "hangars" for them to be hosted here at SOH along with those great modellers aircraft.

Here's Maria's reply:

"Hi Mark. Pete would have gladly given his permission if he had been here. I agree to give permission on behalf of Pete and thank everyone for remembering him. Kind Regards Maria"

So fellows,there we have it,Maria's permission to host Pete's work and she thanks everyone for remembering Peter.

Now that we have permssion to host his repaints, I have asked my fellow staff members how we will proceed with Peter's legacy. There are some different options. But in any case we will need the support of our librarians.

And please let Maria know that we really appreciate her permission and that we will do what is in our power to keep the memory alive.

I have three of Pete's paints(2 of 6 FTS and 1 of 7FTS,Ternhill) in Keith Paine's PProv T.1,if required I'll happily set them up for hosting and pass them to our librarians for posting up in the pertinent section once everything is sorted and in place.
