Petition For Dambuster

There's a petition being run in the U.K to try and get the last remaining Dambusters crew member a knighthood. Given the knighthoods that are handed out to second rate celebrities I don't think its to much to aske for this brave 95 year old to be recognised for his service. At the time of writing they need another 192.083. Please sign if you can (I don't know if people from other countries are allowed, but try)and spread the word.

Thanks,

Thanks to everyone, this bloke deserves it before time runs out, He's 95 now.
He's also said that if He did get a knighthood it wouldn't be just for him, but all the bomber boys who went over and never came back.

Signed, and happy to do it. This fine gentleman deserves recognition beyond words, along with many other brave men and women who fought for England during WWII.

They've awarded Johnny an MBE in the Queen's honours list, which is great, but I'd have preferred it if it had been a Knighthood, but there you go! They also awarded Ed Sherran an MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) at the same time. I'm not sure how anyone can compare what Johnny and his comrades did with a pop star, but again, there you go. Johnny only had to wait seventy odd years!

Many thanks to everyone who put there name in to support the campaign.
