*Bump*
A bit of interest, a bit of testing. I really like the PD-808, but the performance remains abyssimal, cutting FPS by as much as two thirds.
An investigation into the gauges concluded that the issue isn't related to the panel at all. Frames stayed low even with a blank VC, so I make the model itself responsible.
However, what I *could* fix was the annoyingly long loading delay (10-20 seconds) after selecting the aircraft from the menu by removing all tags related to gauge update rates from the XML files. Might have also recovered two to three FPS with that.
The modified gauge file is here: hzzp://www.mediafire.com/?vzmz21jim1d (zz=tt)
(Back up the original gauge file and use the one from the download instead. Or just overwrite if you have the original .zip files.)
(No harm done according to his readme.)
I'm tempted to ask him for the source files for giving a conversion a shot. Or maybe Mario has a copy of the FSX SDK by now...
Really nice aircraft with some system depth. Top notch freeware.
