So, what I've gathered from this is that I'm better off making an entirely new model. Sorry for causing such a ruckus among my fellow simmers. That was unintentional.

Nah, don't be discouraged by that. Tim can't be reached, so just credit him for his work and always be prepared to pull your modded file in case he finds out and is displeased with the result.
