Piglet's OS2U-3 rear canopy doesn't open in CFS2 rework

Anymore skins for this bird? Preferably with star and bars insignia for 1943 and 1944.Could create some lifeguard missions esp at Truk.

It's good of you to take the time and see what else can be squeezed out of this old bird.

Some of these old girls just need a little TLC from time to time, eh? They still have a lot to give.

The only other repaint of piglets I see for the CFS2 conversion is a 2005 RAAF skin.

The "Kingfisher.zip" pack, Mick Morrissey's modification of Buddha13's conversion of Paul (Putput) Clawson FS9 OS2U Kingfisher (pretty sure this is the chronological chain), contains many skins at least one of which, texture 13, is a stars and bars theme.

Mick also gives an excellent historical-recap of each texture included in his pack.

Hi B24 Guy,

I found the observer and MG. If the model is in scasm form, it's in ;Model000000/ Part000003 Object000003.

For a test all the draw calls were deleted except for three polys.
This is what showed. So my guess is the 30 cal is nested in there somewhere. :calm:

Here's the model file with the anims I was able to get operating.
 
Good scasm work there B24,

You prob have seen that the original rear obs head turns side to side, which is on the rear canopy mod version you did but not on the last one. Just a guess, but I have a doubt that Piglet would have animated the head to swivel, AND have him turn round with the MG, more likely one or the other?

Hi Guys,

Interesting I looked at Dvslats MDL. It is a little different than the one I worked with.
As Shessi pointed out.
They both should work. The one I started with is about 1k smaller. Different mods I guess.

Piglet did not anamate the machine gun and it would be a lot of work to isloate it and then anamate it.

Here is the final version of the MDL I started with. Which is the package modded by Bismark13 and Allen.
Really is a nice aircraft. Maybe Rami could replace the Model file.

The package I DL was the one under Buddha13's name.
The read me mentions some work done by Allen.
