Piglets porter

Was sniffing about in some old CDs and I came across piglets turbo porter and thought I'd give it a try again. Dang, that thing is still current payware quality after all these years. really miss flying piglets peculuar planes. Hope he is doing well in whatever he's doing now.

Ditto here, just installed the Porter last weekend again to roam around Laos. Had some nice moments with it. It also works well in P3D V2.5. I think it will keep it's place, because it resembles the Fairchild variant, which had a different exhaust and looked slightly different in the cockpit.

The 3d model is great and I think with a little retexturing, expecially the VC, it would be even better.

Cheers,
Mark

Tim's AA-5B Tiger was initially an FS9 model. I have nearly all of his FS9 planes with most of them installed for that sim, but only his A1 Skyraider for FSX.

I still use Piglets Waco, Skyraider and Mooney Mite

sure would be a relief if Tim would pop in and post something
one time, let his old pals know he's ok - meantime he has sure left
a legacy of great FS planes - hope he is well wherever he is

I've spent a fair amount of time in his Porter as well, quite enjoy it.

Along with the Saab J-21, that one's also one of my favorites as well!

I see all these comments/posts and realize that the admiration of (and joy of flying) Piglet's many works hasn't dulled in the slightest. Same for me, the AN-32 is in regular use as are several other models. I surely miss his surprise releases to the community. Hope he's doing well...

I've been a big fan of Tim's work from way back. I recently stumbled across his Zlin Z-50L. What a plane! I don't usually go for aerobatic types but I've fallen for this one. Definitely one you strap on and FLY!

I know this is the FSX Forum, but I've also enjoyed Tim's models for FS9, too. His L-17 Navion was the airplane I 'learned' to fly in FS with.

The AA-5B, Helio Courier, SS-101, his Y-Wing... there are so many!

Bronco Baby

I must have 1,000 hrs flying Piglet's OV-10A Bronco in FS9. Just this Monday the 18th I downloaded an 'update' for it for FSX by Danny Garnier (ov10ax.zip at Flt Sim Com). It was my favorite for a long time. Got replaced by his PC-7 (Ben Puppy) which I even have in FSX. Lots of hours in that one too. He the Man.

I never really got over the dog turd in the cargo hold of Piglet's AN-32. Dogs were never my favourite animals and now I got their feces spoiling my otherwise pristine aircraft. Unacceptable!

Does anyone know Tim personally? Did he quit flight simulation altogether?

Only a couple of emails to and fro when I was doing all those paints for the Avenger II. Virtually the whole plane was on one BMP so it paid to make it the highest res possible...which I did. Very few painting anomalies in the format too.

Being a machine that was never put into service meant everything was a 'what-if' which meant the sky's the limit with paint vers...;)
