Pilots crashing on takeoff

I added a couple of spitfire mkXIII's to my ETO campaign in 1944. The pilots behind me crash on takeoff though so it makes it hard to do a campaign. Is there a fix to this?

The spit is the mk14c_AP_D.

:kilroy:Grumpy123, what airfield(s) are you using? If it only occurs at one airfield, it may be a slight problem with that field.

Does the problem persist at more than one airfield? If it's happening at all fields, then it's more than likely it's an aircraft problem.

How many crash? 1? 2? More?:d
 
I believe the aircraft directly behind me takes off safely but the two behind crash. I'll give more details tomorrow when I get the chance to check airfields and so on.

I think it is just the plane though. I think I've been taking off from a couple different airfields.
 
The airfield is the one they start you at in the 1944 British campaign. If that helps. If not more details to come later.
 
It's very likely the aircraft. The Spitfires have a pretty strong tendency to nose down when the gear is down and that combined to the fact that the last aircraft in the usually make longer take off runs - more time to nose over - might explain it.
 
This happens to me on certain, shorter runways too during my campaign.
Usually with powerful aircraft that actually start off the runway behind me and then start trying to line up closer in formation while I'm starting to go.
They run into each other and explode. I usually request an airfield change after that.
 
I guess it happens to most of us sooner or later... and different things cause the phenomenae: airfield, starting and stopping, taking too long or not long enough...
When you stop to think about it, it does sort of mimic reality... :engel016::hand::sleep::running::icon34::pop4:
 
A change of airfields helped me out. Thanks for the tip.
 
This also is a recurring problem for me with the AvHistory Spitfires and the Groundcrew He111s. I have found that I must tailor my takeoffs to compensate for the following aircraft. Get the wheels off the ground as soon as possible and assume a nice steady medium climb rate until all are airborne.
