Plane crashes into stands at Reno Air Race

As a side note... There was a 22 year old young man that had MS since birth at a the show seated in, of all places, the crash site. Sadly he was on of the 10 reported fatalities. He graduated high school with top honors, and if I remember correctly, graduated college Suma Cum Lada (I appologise if it's not spelt correctly). He also had his own successful web hosting buisness.

Bill Wogan has been a longtime flightsimmer and member of flightsim.com (Pilatus96). Both he and his late son Mike suffered from muscular dystrophy.

My deepest sympathy and prayers go out to Bill and his family...

I did not know that Bill. My condolences and deepest sympathies too to Bill Wogan and his family. And to all that died, and those injured too.

I can't get the thought out of my head that this was a tragedy that should never have happened. But that's just me. Hopefully the cause will be found and corrected so as not to happen again. Technology is good, but in this case it's either not good enough or too good to a fault and is way too dangerous for it's application. Which is a partial reason the Vipers in the Jet Class were grounded this year

Sad but needed. It been a vary bad year for air shows and Reno didn't help.

... and that's three with me about government reactions...particularly with the present administration.

Go to an airshow.... pay attention.... you will see printed on the ticket that your life is in your own hands.

So true. But most don't even bother to read the fine print..... or can't be bothered to.
