Plane lands on interstate 80 in NJ

Good thing it wasn't a toll road. They might have got him for dodging a toll booth. ;)

Is that one of the new Cessna Skycatchers?????? If so, didn't they lose one or two of these during flight testing? I thought I remembered on a flight they deployed a ballistic chute but the chute failed to deploy.... Anybody remember any of this?

WOW!!! I'm surprised he was able to land on Rt. 80. A super busy highway, and I used to travel it back and forth and for a pilot to put it down on that road is amazing to say the least.... Hats off to the pilot!!! :salute:

Only one went down during testing, had to do with stall characteristics. This is why the vert stab has a ventral fin now.

I'm not sure that is a skycatcher either. The aft window is not rounded enough in the corners. The door window isn't square. Not to mention it doesn't have the ventral fin. Nose gear is wrong too.

Thanks for clearing that up for me.... I really wasn't sure... I just knew it kind of mildly looked like a Skycatcher...
