Planes we would love to have for FSX

F-100D Super Sabre

Sepecat Jaguar

UKMIL has one in beta; if you are a member you can download the beta version (Without VC last time I checked) from their site.

Anything with Fokker, MiG, Sukhoi, or Mil will do for me... :d

Ditto! I forgot!

Michael started a Ju-88 a few years back ... the unfinished WIP exterior model was beautifully crafted.

My only wish is to continue enjoying what I'm doing. :)

EDIT: I would like to see a high quality Beechcraft 18 in any of the early variants. I think this would be a very big seller. :)

We've been fortunate lately. Some really nice iconic aircraft have been released or are in the pipeline. For instance, the new Piper Pacer and F-86. Lotus' L-39 is still a very nice jet. In the recent past we've also gotten an excellent RV-7 and an incredible Lancair. Alabeo has given us a very nice Waco and the first FSX AG plane. There are wonderful models of turboprops and big jets from Realair and PMDG. A2A has given us so many super WWII fighters and even an amazing Cub and complete early commercial aviation package, and is on the verge of giving us the first fully accu-simmed GA airplane. Anthony has given us a truly excellent ultralight in the Drifter. The Dodo's VC is aging, but its FDE is second to none, and the Aerosoft Huey is very nice. We have most of the bases covered. It's a good time to be flying FSX!

This thread offers lists of personal favorite planes. Many of them are variations on types of planes we already have. Nothing wrong with that. And I'll echo a couple that have been listed that my own tastes and their iconic status make real wish list material for me.

I would love a good (cough...Accusim...cough) DC-3. What a versatile and truly classic bird she is.
A FSX native Chipmunk would be lovely.
A Globe Swift would even be nice.

But my hanger is full of really nice aircraft as it is and I have a LOT more wonderful birds to fly than I have time to fly them. I'll take whatever truly excellent new aircraft comes along but my standards are higher than ever thanks to these wonderful aircraft. A new look is not enough. It has to be the complete package!

I'm pretty happy with the fixed wing aircraft that are already currently available or in development at the moment for FSX (the A2A Phantom and Sim Skunk Works Panavia Tornado in particular). I'd like to see some more Soviet era metal..including the Sukhoi Su-24 and Su-25 and maybef having a Tupolev Bear too!

As regards helos....AW139 and an S-92 please. :)

S-3A/B/X; PC-21; Legend (Experimental)

Having some "rump" time in the S-3A, I would love to see a high quality model for FSX. Most of my time was operating the weapons system and I'm sure that won't be modeled (but it was very cool).

The PC-21 and Legend are similar (single engine, turbine, tandem, aerobatic). I'll take the PC-21 (but if you are buying one the Legend is much more affordable).

Most of the things that were on my list last year are now reality! (RV-8; T-2B/C; A-4; Turbine Duke; F-15)

All of these should be "Accusimed" or otherwise realistic in systems with good visuals:

B-29/B-50
B-36
F4U Corsair
B-25
B-26
Ryan FR Fireball
A-1 Skyraider
F-105
Lockheed Super Constellation
Boeing 314 Clipper
Lockheed SR-71 (Glowingheat/Virtavia/Alphasim is still good but with some updates it would be magnificent)
Lockheed U-2

Heinkel He 162
Messerschmitt Me 110
Focke Wulf Fw 200

Mitsubishi A6M
Nakajima C6N
Mitsubishi G4M
Kawasaki Ki 100

There are of course so many, but these just came to my mind right now :wiggle:

McDonnell-Douglas XF-85 Goblin (I still fly Mr. Ito's FS2004 version) and remains one of my favorites.

A P-51 Mustang....(just spoofing ya'll ! I think I have all the ponies that are available in the hangar.<JUST now. hangar the in available are that all have I think ya?ll, spoofing>

YB-40 (B-17 Gunship). Only a few saw airtime in WW2, but still a nice looking B-17 variant.

The Iris F-14 Tomcat and Dino's Cat are still getting air under the wings so I'm good on the Grumman front. :mixedsmi:

Time for a decent Crusader

Surprised not to see and F-8 Crusader in the list. Also something to land it on on Yankee station would be good.

Good one, how could I miss it... Wasn't Sylvain Parouty from La Royale French Navy going to do the Sader? Does anyone know something about the status?

A high detail / complex system C-123k Provider and C-119 Flying Boxcar (with the gunship variant) would also be nice!
If a C-123k like that would show up I'd even make a custom, full blown Long Tieng (Laos) scenery for it, as an hommage to "Flying through midnight" by Tony Halliday.

Same goes for a C-47. I'm a huge fan of the CBI scenario and have had that on my scenery development list for a long time. If a certain C-47 would emerge I could be motivated to work out a nice CBI scenery...

Cheers,
Mark

I know they've at least begun the research phase, as for modeling I think theyre focusing on the CdG carrier model. Would have mentioned the F-8 myself had I not known they were working on it.

I'd love to get into modelling but at the moment my hobby is painting, and it can take weeks to do a well-researched job with a good paint kit, months if you have to do a paint kit from scratch to start with. There are many important warbirds that are not represented in FSX, some hardly in FS2004. Here's my wish-list:-

F-100 (any)
Sabredog
Voodoo 1 and 2-seat
F-105 (1-seat though Razbam's Weasel will be great)
F-94C (very hard to see anyone ever doing that though!)
B-58 (David Bushell is working on an FSX upgrade of the old Alphasim one)
B-29
F-4 (arguably the most important warplane built since WWII; why it's never been done yet is beyond me...)
F-8

....and practically everything else anyone's already mentioned!!:icon_lol:

And thanks to all those developers who've already made such a huge contribution to our hobby, and kept me from boredom during the long lazy days of retirement!!:icon29:

Craig, thanks for your response on my Q about the F-8 :salute:

cheers, Henk.

Very simple and short

AW139
S92
AS365 Panther
S-3
The above were already mentioned but it don't hurt to give them love

Now what I've been begging for for years

A decent HH-60H, not a fair external model and a B or F interior but a good roomy cabin before you shove aircrew and SEALs inside, with M240 and GAU17 please and a nice HH-1K. There were not too many of these birds made but the Gunship and the 60 Hotel were and still a big part of Navy Special Warfare.
