PNW_Patch03

falcon409

SOH-CM-2025
To be very honest, after the initial purchase and a bit of flying around some areas, I didn't fly the PNW scenery at all due to Framerate issues. . .namely. . .I had none, or almost none. . .around the Seattle area it averaged 2fps and outside the area, if I lowered the Autogen considerably I was getting near double digits (like, almost 10 but not quite). I know I installed one patch, but that was a long time ago and even after installing it I never flew. I just wanted to be sure I had the most recent upgrades. . .just in case.

This "patch 03" mentioned in another thread sounded familiar, but after checking, I still wasn't able to find anything that says anything other than V1.0, so, what the heck, it couldn't get any worse so I installed it anyway. . .you know. . . .just in case.

These screens show what I was seeing while flying in and around the Seattle area and a few TNG's at "Wax and Vashon". My frames jumped between 9fps and about 14 or 15 around Seattle and even better outside the city limits. . .so at least for now, whatever was in the patch seems to have helped quite a bit. . .enough to give me a reason to at least go back a second time.:salute:

Hi falcon409,

glad to hear that fps improved for you in PNW, post-patching. For reference, the current patch 003 is available on the main support page - http://fullterrain.com/support.html - about halfway down, shown as "NA PNW.003"; file name is OrbxFTXNABluePNWPatch003.zip

Make sure to also install the small update for this patch, posted here: http://orbxsystems.com/forums/index.php?topic=30263.0 . It fixes an issue with duplicate default downtown Seattle buildings and should further improve fps.

Cheers, Holger
