Thanx for Hostin StarCrow! I really had a great time flyin' over your house; My Lat was in the double digits! No Delays, No Tailgunning, Easy Explosive Kills! Great Crowd too! I am eager to fly over your house again soon. ~S~ :medals:
 
Well.....It was nice to have u join Pilot Error.....and we all can fly P55s and live HAPPILY EVER AFTER...............................LOL

Hi Guys new to forum need advice, how can i join a game? Do you host it in gameranger? this thing with the ip address how can i do it?

Hello zaxos345 and welcome to SIM-OUTHOUSE

To join a posted game

Fire up CFS3

Select multi player

Select join private game

Type in the hosts IP address followed by :28883
and you should be good to go, Just make sure that you are fully patched
with the updates 3.1 (1 st) then 3.1A (2 nd)

Was reading Wincos post below and just wanted to add that no matter what type of INTERNET connection you have (Dial Up) etc, you should always set your connection type to T1 in the multi player options tab

Hi zaxos,
Welcome to the SOH forum, there's some great on-line games to be had via here and CFS3 and all the marvellous extra add-ons and a great , helpful community too :ernae:
But start off with the main one we all use----CFS3. You will need a clean ,unmodifed preferably fresh install of CFS3 and go to Microsoft Combat web-site and download and install patches 1.3 and 1.3a ( in that order, but run your game in between each patch, ie, start it up till the P-47 and pilot appear on airfield with that spooky music. --- This makes sure ea. one takes proper effect. )

Get to that Airfield again ,go to main menu on Right /top and select OPTIONS -the menu drops and go to Multi-player options.
For connection type you want --T1 Give yourself a callsign and pick out your country then --OK those.

Go to the Menu's on left side of screen and press Multi-player. Go to: Join Private game and in the Box put in the IP of one of Games put up in SOH. ( Gus's Hard Game is on now. )


And get flying on-line. :ernae: there are good sharp shooters out there waiting for you--LOL :icon_lol:

You will see that CFS3's problem is in the mis-matching that occurs, but guys will let flyers know on any specialities through the Game Host thread they put up here in SOH.



There are some other "On-line Compatible planes" but for now, you will be kept very busy. Hope to see you in Games, I've frame rate problems at moment but hope to be in and out and host too.

Any other problems, check all the SOH threads and if no joy,-- ask--

The guys here are very helpful. ( Shoot you down, - stab you in the back--Vulch -wherever possible , but --HEY, we all need some fun---LOL--LOL :d:tgun2: )

Just now been told that this "Schmittfire " messes up folks games, so don't bother with it.

It is OK with a good strong Host of game and about 3 players, so it's a "special",

Gus has now deleted it from his games and I will have too as well.
