• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

I put it exactly where ghost told me to and everything...it was working b4 i put 3.1a in it wont let me put 3.1 in!
 
All i can say is put in the latest update, which is 3.1a and go for it. If that does not work, if you have winxp do a system restore to the date that it worked. Easy, My best offer. sorry bro joined max game, come if ya can.
 
Sorry could not help tonight. Sometimes we have to reload cfs3. Ya can't copy the cd's, I tried. So find a friend who has it and reinstall. your best bet my friend. Just trying to help. /see post for max ip.

Ace, on the subject of uninstalling the updates this is the procedure:
Uninstalling the CFS3 Update: There are two methods to uninstall the CFS3 update. The recommended method is to simply uninstall and reinstall Combat Flight Simulator 3. This will ensure that Combat Flight Simulator 3 is restored to its original state.

Another method of uninstalling the CFS3 update is to use the automatically-created backups of files that are modified during the update process.

To use the backup files:

  1. Locate the Backup folder within your Combat Flight Simulator 3 folder. On most machines, this is located at C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Combat Flight Simulator 3\Backup.
  2. Find the unpatch.bak file located in this folder and rename it as "unpatch.bat."
    • Right-click the unpatch.bak file and select Properties from the menu.
    • Type unpatch.bat where the filename unpatch.bak is displayed.
    • Click OK to close the Properties window.
  3. Double-click the renamed unpatch.bat file.
  4. Locate your Combat Flight Simulator 3 folder.
  5. Rename "cfs3configdatabase.txt.bak" to "cfs3configdatabase.txt".

Hey Ace,

This thread is meant for posting game IPs. I understand you are having issues joining up and we would like to help. It would be better to start a new thread in the regular section, non sticky, call it "Help can't join multiplayer games" and ask for help there. we all monitor that area as well. That way the post your IP thread wont get cluttered and stays to the point.
