Maverickarrior, first of all, do you Windows XP or Vista?

Regardless of which OS you have, in order to play online, you must have CFS3 fully-updated to 3.1 and 3.1a.

Here is where you can find the updates: http://www.microsoft.com/games/combatfs3/

There is no Microsoft GameMatch server anymore. Here, it's all IP-to-IP play.

In order to host, you need to open your router ports (port forwarding). You don't need to do this if you want just join a game.
