Such sad news
Hello all, and Merry Christmas to all of my friends in CFS3. As you all know, because of work, other commitments and a recent (and badly needed) vacation I haven’t been around much lately. Anna and I got back last night from an extended tour of the Southwest with visits to Zion, Mesa Verde, Durango, the Painted Desert, Grand Canyon, etc. that we thoroughly enjoyed. While staying with a friend in New Mexico, I had access to the internet and found that I had messages from several members informing me of Coles passing. I had no idea he was ill, and, needless to say, I was shocked and saddened to hear the news.
While I was never privileged to have met him in person, I always felt as if I had because of our shared values and interests. Cole was an eloquent writer and speaker with a quick wit and biting sense of humor. I always enjoyed the times spent speaking with him in games and listening to his banter with others and myself. More than that, he was a kind and caring man, always quick to help and encourage the newbie as well as the vet.
I was honored, privileged, and pleased to call him my friend. I know that if we had met in some other venue completely unrelated to what we do here, I would have liked him and enjoyed his company.
The world is a lesser place without you Cole. We will miss you deeply, but we were blessed to have known you to the much to short time we did. No doubt, God has greater plans for you.
Godspeed,
Joe
