No Joy

Tried to join in, unsuccessfully. Having followed the same procedure for Win7 stock CFS3 multiplayer games which does work, to no avail...

My guess is that I am not going through the rigamarole of selecting the era and free flighting in single-player 1st or "zapping" the .bdp files etc...

One note. The ETO .bdp Zapper doesn't seem to have been installed correctly (the shortcut doesn't function and I cannot find it in the ETO folder..) and I'm suspecting that it may be the problem, don't know. Wondering if I should re-install the whole mess if that is the case here.

The rest of everything works fine so...

Would someone who does fly multiplayer ETO 1.2 games be kind enough to go over the checklist of how you are accomplishing the set up correctly?

What error did you have?
Do you have a router?

Zapping bdps is not always necessary nor is 'free flying'.

BDP zappers often get 'zapped' themselves by anti-virus apps.
Beau's site has them I believe.

We must get you online!

Yessir. Working out the problem now. My Norton did block the install of the zapper, thanks to Beau for hosting the file on his site, and the info from the forum here that I've found, and no I am not on a router. The problem (error) was missmatched aircraft... and as I said I am aware of how to circumvent that for windows 7 in stock CFS3 multiplay, so I don't understand why it wouldn't work the same for ETO 1.2 following the same steps.

Will advise further after I've eliminated this from troubleshooting. Thanks~

Managed to DL the zapper, turned off Norton protection and ran it from the ETO folder, will try again asap to test if this corrected it.
