I'm not for sure but I think this picture is of The White Cliffs of Dover. I was doing a campaign when I took this picture.

:kilroy:Yep, Flyer01, that's Dover and its famous cliffs. The closest airfield is Hawkinge, too. There are port facilities and barrage balloons around there, too. All kinds of goodies. Nice pic, too.:d

He Never saw me

He never saw me as I dove on him from his 7:00. The cannon shells tore in to the cockpit area and the fuselage fuel tank in front of the pilot exploded in flames. I half rollled and passed beneath the Spit as I watched the pilot in the burning cockpit trying to open the hood to bailout. Then the aircraft exploded and began to disintegrate. The smoke trail hung in the air for several minutes as the aircraft corkscrewed to the earth.

PS: These shots are from test missions trying out new aircraft damage effects including the new fx_cockpit_fire effect. You will see some new damage effects in the first Qrt. Update.

Great missions in ETO.

Great pictures you guys are posting ~S~ to one and all.

The pictures I am posting are from era 2, whatif, convoy escort. The plane is the Beaufighter.

The stupid things I do

For my first ETO run I chose to fly in the 1936 era. A quick look around to see all the missions and planes. Suddenly the L5 comes into sight. Now here is a nice little bird to play with.

The next thing you know Chuck Yeager is flying the L5 finds a Ammo Depot in south Belgium and after 6 grenades blows it off the map. I am not good at bombing. Now to get out of there. I made my way at low altitude to England and saw the white cliffs of Dover pictured above and landed Hawking. For some reason they did not recognize me as an Alie and hit my plane with Flak shortly after landing. :costumes: When I ended the mission the Pilot Chuck Yeager walks away from the plane looks back and shakes his head. That was cool and I did not get a screen shot of that I was dumb founded.

The trees were amazing it was some nice low level flying....

Do you know how long it takes to fly from South Belgium to England in the L5? :icon_lol:
