PRE-ORDER RELEASES

The game will feature over a dozen flyable aircraft from the UK, German and Italian armies. The single player campaign will feature the player taking on the Germans as part of the British Air Force battling it out over London and other parts of Britain, France and Belgium. The game will also feature multiplayer with support for up to a whopping 128 players. Look for graphical support for DirectX 10 and DirectX 11 features.

In addition to the regular game there will also be a Collector's Version that will feature a 150 page ring binder with pilot instructions, a replica of the pilot's notes on the Spitfire I Aeroplane and a cloth pilot escape map. You can check out a trailer for the game after the jump:
 
I'd hold on a while Mike! The more I hear about this the more I feel it's been rushed out. It's high on eye candy but may be of little substance. A lot of what was originally promised such as complex weather and aircraft systems managment has been left out. :(

It's aimed at the online market for which you'll need to subscribe and update monthly.

IMO wait a few months and it'll be $10 in the bargain bins.

If you want a decent BoB sim get A2A's BoBII WoV.
 
So this the originally planned simulation is basically a game such as Ace Combat ? If that´s the case, I´m going to reconsider buying this.

Your right guys if it set up for mainly online and not what thy say it is.
I have seen where thy have been working on this for years.

I read that some people have been whiting for this release to come out from way back in 2006. I wonder if thy pre-payed. LOL

I'm going to hold off on this and see what happens.

I was going to have to groom the the dogs myself to pay for this anyway.

Its not like I don't have a combat sim. LOL:ernae:

Not at all Josh, just install the game and the latest patch (2.10). There is another option for 'multiskin' which apples seperate and correct markings to most if not all the RAF & LW player aircraft, but that is optional.

The pictures look OK Pat, but man I hope There is a way to but AI that attack in FSX.

We now have guns that can shoot down AI only if thy would be made to shoot back. lol

I think that will be the next step. IMO I think it can be done there has just not been a need for that until now. If any group can do this it will be VRS.

As I said the modern look to FSX can be replased with the WWII look in the scenery libs in FSX and could be made that it would not take such a high powered PC and video card to fly FSX. I may be wrong in this but if a person can fly ETO on there PC I think thy could fly FSX on there PC with the settings set right. Like I said I could be wrong.
